Instructions

  1. Clean jelly jars and wash strawberries thoroughly, removing stems.
  2. Crush strawberries to your desired consistency and measure out two cups, placing them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add four cups of sugar to the crushed strawberries and let sit for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, combine pectin with 3/4 cup water and bring to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute.
  5. Mix the boiled pectin into the strawberry mixture and stir vigorously for about three minutes until thickened.
  6. Fill jelly jars, leaving 1/2 inch space at the top, secure lids tightly, and allow them to set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
