  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions, celery, and bell pepper until tender. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika; stir well.
  4. Mix in chopped turkey bacon along with diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour in bone broth and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Serve hot topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
