Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
- 3 ounces tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 cup bone broth
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions, celery, and bell pepper until tender. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in jalapeno and garlic; cook for one minute. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika; stir well.
- Mix in chopped turkey bacon along with diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in bone broth and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Serve hot topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
