  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Fresh kiwis, sliced
  • Fresh mangoes, sliced
  • Fresh blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons apricot jam
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pastry dough by mixing flour and powdered sugar, cutting in cold butter until crumbly. Add cold water gradually until dough forms.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the chilled dough to fit the tart pan, transfer it carefully, trim excess, and prick the bottom.
  4. Bake the crust at 375°F (190°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown; let cool completely.
  5. For the custard, heat milk and vanilla extract, whisk egg yolks with sugar and cornstarch separately, then combine both mixtures over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Cool the custard completely before spreading it into the tart shell.
  7. Arrange sliced fruits on top, glaze if desired with melted apricot jam mixed with water.
  8. Chill for at least one hour before serving.
