  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing it with soy sauce, Shaoxing vinegar, and cornstarch for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by combining chicken broth, soy sauces, vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear marinated chicken until browned.
  4. Stir-fry ginger, garlic, onion, and bell peppers until fragrant.
  5. Add the sauce mixture to the skillet; cook until thickened. Return chicken to coat it well.
